The 25 Greatest Sci-Fi Shows Ever

Posted by Kevin Bachelder On May - 6 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Several Whedonverse shows are included in Wizzard Universe’s recent article entitled “The 25 Greatest Sci-Fi Shows Ever!”. I won’t spoil with where on the list each of our shows ended up.

These types of articles are always fun because fans love to debate the rankings and what shows did or didn’t make the list. Of course any list like this that leaves off Farscape needs to closely scrutinized.

You can check out the article here…

03-05-07_andyhallet1Whedonesque has heard from Andy’s agent  who says what the family wants donation wise in lieu of flowers. “When Andy was in high school his best friend lost his brother so the two boys put together a scholarship fund. Andy continued to raise money til his death for this”. The address for the fund is as follows.

The Jason A Fedele Memorial Scholarship

If you’d like to send a card to the family:

Also, CityofAngel.com has a very beautiful tribute page they’ve created for Andy (click here).

It’s not often the Whedonverse loses an actor, but tonight the fandom mourns for our favorite green crooner, Andy Hallet. According to E! the actor passed away last night at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, succumbing to heart failure after a five-year battle with heart disease, with his father Dave Hallett by his side.

A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends in Cape Cod, most likely over this weekend.

Even as I’m writing it I’m still in shock. Andy was very dear to Whedon fans. Who can’t help but smile when they hear him singing “It’s Not Easy Being Green”?

There’s an empty mike now at Caritas, you will be missed Andy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Andy’s family at this time.

In honor of Andy, I’m placing a donation at the American Heart Association and I urge other Whedon fans to do the same.

Whedon lists

I don’t know about you, but I love lists done by entertainment magazines and websites.  Of course, they’re even better when they include some of our favorite Whedon people, episodes, and shows.  Here are just a few of the fun lists to come out recently.

EW makes a list of 26 shows that were cancelled too soon and obviously Firefly makes the list.  Check it out here.

EW has another list of the 20 Coolest Heroes in Pop Culture and Buffy makes the list.  Find that one here.

SFX has a list of the 25 best and worst TV episode titles, including titles from Buffy and Angel.  This one’s really fun.  Find it here.

And lastly, this is a list of 5 reasons why TV Guide loves Eliza Dushku, which is just great.  It’s kind of a mini interview as well.  Read that here.
