In addition to our cast and crew, we also have several talented contributors from Between the Lines Studios including Faith, the Vampire Slayer; Brian Brown; Larissa and others!
~ Alyrenee
Voice Talent & Writer for Joss’ Toy Box segment
Alyrenee has been a diehard Whedonphile since the first episode of Buffy ever (she even liked the movie). Working as a costume designer and makeup artist in Chicago, she started a Buffy podcast in 2006 called Undead America: Adventures in the Whedonverse. She can also be found contributing to Starkville’s House of El, Tangent, and the Scapecast as well as writing for Buffy Between the Lines. Aly is currently trying her hand at writing audio dramas for Strawdog Theatre Company where she has been an ensemble member for four years. She is also a member of Wildclaw Theatre which focuses on bringing horror and fantasy to the Chicago stage. In her spare time, she makes custom action figures, knits, sews, and geeks out on comics.

~Beth Nelson
Voice Talent & Interviewer Extraordinaire
Beth has been a Whedonite from before she knew he existed. (Can you even imagine such a time?) Some of her favorite episodes of the TV show, “Roseanne,” were written by Joss. She was completely converted in 1997 when the show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” hit the airwaves. While she wasn’t instantly an “Angel” fan, her love of Joss’ work grew immensely when she first saw “Firefly”. It was like a brand new love affair. And because of Spike, Beth recently decided to fall in love with “Angel”, as well.
Beth is the Chairman of the Austin Browncoats (A Non-Profit Organization), as well as the Chairman of the 2008 Browncoat Ball committee and the Global Organizer for 2008’s Can’t Stop The Serenity. This allows Beth to interact with a large number of Joss fans, making fan interviews the best job for her! Beth’s motto is simple – she wants to make the world a better place – one shindig at a time!

~ Cliseria Padilla AKA Cliss
Voice Talent & News Chica
Cliseria Padilla AKA Cliss is from some weird and sunny place in Florida called Sarasota. She was forced by a friend to watch Buffy when S5 first aired on the WB and has since gone through the entire series six times! Not counting watching some episodes over and over again whenever she was in the mood for some good TV. (That’s not crazy right?) Cliss also started watching Angel and Firefly and has since been obsessed with all things Joss related. She’s listened to many podcasts since stepping out from under her rock last year but is still a newbie at actually being a part of one. She can be heard playing Tara on the audio drama Buffy Between the Lines.
Cliss spends her non Joss-obsessed time going to school, majoring in business, and working as a bartender/waitress to geet the bills paid. Other TV shows she enjoys watching are Greys Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Heroes, Reaper, Supernatural, Pushing Daisies, Bones, and Veronica Mars. And she loves horror movies!

~Dan
Blogger
Dan lives in Scottsdale, AZ and is a mild-mannered software developer by day, but by night he’s a champion of vampires everywhere. It was this love of vampires that naturally caused him to discover Joss Whedon. He was a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer the movie first (Paul Reubens as a vampire, ’nuff said!) and the TV show from the very beginning. Two moments in particular converted Dan into a true Whedonfreak.
First was the realization that Joss could jump the shark by introducing Dawn into the show but make her so fraking seamless and crucial that Dan considers season five to be the best season EVAR. Second was the creation of “Once More With Feeling”, the Buffy musical episode that is his all-time favorite. Period. So, Joss can jump the shark AND have a musical episode thus proving he is a genius if not a god.
Dan watched Angel with less fervor but still enjoyed it, especially when Spike joined as a freaking ghost. Brilliant! Dan is naturally also a rabid fan of Buffy Between the Lines. Dan enjoyed Firefly also and was quite upset when it was cancelled, and rejoiced with everyone else when Serenity hit theatres. Dan believes that Dr. Horrible proved that you don’t need a big budget, just brains, talented friends, and rabid fans. Dan also enjoys Dollhouse and wishes he had a million dollars.
Dan has been a fan of immortal bloodsuckers ever since seeing Bela Lugosi’s Dracula as a young child. A steady diet of classic 80’s fangflicks like The Lost Boys, Fright Night and Once Bitten only cemented his teenage fascination. In 1993 he wrote his vampire novel, LILITH’S LOVE, while attending Arizona State Univ. He eventually self-published it in 2000 and plans to record a podcast version (one of these days.) In 2008 he and his fiancée started the Out Of The Coffin podcast where they discuss vampires in fiction, pop culture, and the vampyres who live next door. You can also stalk him on Twitter (@DanS42).

~ Emma AKA Aurey09
Voice Talent & writer for the FanFic Reviews
Emma is a dyslexic writer – who loves irony. She lives in a small town in Nottinghamshire, UK. (She’s English but doesn’t like tea – “coffee all the way baby.”) She became a Whedon fan in late 1998 – and will always have a special place in her heart for Buffy, seeing as it got her through those painful teenage years and convinced her to be a writer.
She became a podcast-convert (pod-vert? wait that doesn’t sound right) when she began to listen to The Signal in 2005. She is one of the writer and story-editors for Buffy Between the Lines.
Emma enjoys watching: anything Whedon, Dead Like Me, Arrested Development, Wonderfalls, Heroes, Bones, House M.D. and Supernatural. She also has a huge love for books and is beginning to geek-out over comics too – Sugarshock anyone?

~ Heidi
Voice Talent, Blogger, Writer for “Character of the Episode” Segment
Heidi lives in a small town north of Salt Lake City in Utah. Heidi became a Whedon fan in 2006. She saw the original Buffy movie when it came out, but watched the pilot episode of the TV show and was mad that the actress who played Buffy wasn’t the same. (She would like to go back in time and hit her 14 year old self up side the head). After watching all of Buffy in under 2 months she moved on to Angel and Firefly. She has now gotten into the world of comics through Buffy Season 8 and Angel: After the Fall.
Heidi loves TV shows because of the continuous stories and character development. Some of her favorites besides Whedon are: Veronica Mars, Alias, Smallville, Lois and Clark, Bones, House, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Grey’s Anatomy, SVU, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Hereos, Lost, Prison Break, and too many others to name. She also enjoys to read, travel and watch musicals. She is an avid Harry Potter fan.
Heidi has been listening to podcasts for a couple years now, but is just now getting into the recording side of things. She is involved with Season 2 of Buffy Between the Lines and now, Joss’d. She dreams of starting a podcast of her own in the future.

Jimmy hails from a small town in Southern Ohio known as Peebles. He was first introduced to the Whedonverse through a friend who encouraged him to watch an episode of Buffy. After watching that episode, which happened to be the season 3 season finale, he was hooked. Jimmy also became a fan of Angel and has recently started watching Firefly on DVD. He got his first taste of podcasts when accidentally stumbling upon the Buffy Between the Lines site. After hearing one episode, he knew he wanted to be a part and tried out for a voice part. He has since written a minisode for the upcoming Angel Between the Lines podcast and hopes to write more in the future.
When not Jossing it up, Jimmy spends his time at work as a cashier, going to school as an English major, and doing stand-up comedy.

Kevin lives just south of Boston, MA in the US. He first became interested in Scifi by watching the original Star Trek series in reruns during the early 70’s. Some of the Scifi and fantasy topics he enjoys are Firefly, Farscape, Buffy, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix and The X-Files to name just a few.
He works on a several Scifi podcasts including The Signal, The ScapeCast, Tuning Into Scifi TV, Dragon-Pod and Firefly Talk.
When he isn’t watching sci-fi DVDs, dealing with computer issues or posting on his techie blog Kevin enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two daughters.

~ Kim AKA AthenaMuze
Host
Kim lives in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. She is relatively new to the Whedonverse, having watched Firefly shortly before the BDM and then exploring (obsessing over?) the world of Buffy about a year later. Angel the series followed and is also a favorite.
Kim has always had a thing for vampires (especially the blond ones), although until recently she was unable to admit it, so she spends her time reading lots of science fiction and fantasy and watching as many related things as possible. (BRING BACK VERONICA MARS!) Kim also loves musicals and singing as often as she gets a chance to do it.
You can hear Kim on her own Buffyverse podcast, Upside Down and Halfway to HappyLand or as Buffy/the Buffybot on Buffy Between the Lines.

~ Laura Anne Knott
Voice Talent & News Chica
Laura is from Ontario, Canada. She is a first timer to podcasts as of 2007 and is wondering why she has not known about them sooner. Laura has been a fan of Joss’s work since the beginning of Buffy, actually starting her journey with the movie a few years before the tv series started. When Laura isn’t enjoying listening to podcasts, she also has a passion for acting. She has been involved with theatre since the tender age of three.
Laura also enjoys watching such shows as Charmed, Prison Break, Lost, CSI: NY, Supernatural and Heroes. She also enjoys working on websites in her spare time.
Laura can also be heard on Buffy Between the Lines as Candyce Wells.

~ Melia
Audio Editor
Jobs – Advanced editor and sometime voice actor for BBtL, main editor for Joss’d, and was well-chuffed to co-write the first episode of the upcoming Angel Between the Lines with the awesome Volo.
Melia’s one of those odd people who got into the Whedonverse through Firefly first when a friend of hers handed her the DVDs, was told to watch the first four episodes and if she didn’t love it after that, “You are dead to me.” It took three episodes. After falling in love with Firefly, she decided to check out Joss’ other stuff and the rest is history.
Mel can be found slaving away in Adobe Audition, editing out giggles, ‘Ummm’s and creating the ultimate blackmail- errrr, blooper reel, yeah that’s it, ever created. When she’s not working on Buffy Between the Lines or Joss’d, she works for a mid-sized newspaper as the web editor (apparently editing is in her blood
) and enjoys blogging (http://www.ukmelia.com, http://www.24addict.com), hanging with her lovely and brilliant daughter and traveling whenever she can. You can also catch her on Twitter (@UKmelia) pretty much all the time.
~ Nick
Voice Talent
Nick was a reluctant fan of Joss Whedon’s work. A lifelong SF fan, the whole Buffy thing was initially dismissed as “a bit naff”. Luckily, this delusion only lasted long enough for his wife and mother in law to have got into season 1 and so he had no choice but to watch and was hooked by about the second episode he saw! Angel followed of course, but then came Firefly and his fandom was ramped to a whole new level.
Nick writes and does voicework principally for original Firefly podcast, The Signal, acts in Buffy Between The Lines (playing Spike), occasionally appears in the Browncoat fandom insanity of Sending A Wave and will be appearing in various guises in the forthcoming Firefly Audio Drama, Dark Places. Jossd makes it 5 Whedon related podcasts. Add to that a large family, hobbies like motorcycling, comics, archery, watching DVDs, good beer, reading, playing the guitar, good wine, earning a living and a certain degree of online involvement in boards and maillists and it becomes clear why his favorite thing is usually sleep.

~ Tabitha Grace Smith AKA Tabz
Host & Producer
Tabitha has been involved in producing since she was seven and directed her younger sister in a production of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. She discovered her love for writing an early age and that, combined with her passion of all things shiny lead her to study communications in college. Since then she’s been involved in all things media including radio, television, and video production.
In the spring of 2006 her good friend John Meadows started her on the road to Joss Whedon fandom by bringing over his copy of the Firefly DVDs. Shortly after that she found Buffy, Angel and has been a rabid consumer of all things Whedon. That fall John introduced her to podcasts, starting with Firefly Talk, and she’s been hooked ever since. She started her own Joss Whedon podcast in December of 2006, Strangely Literal. Since then she’s joined the crews of After Serenity, Tales from the ‘Verse, and Firefly Talk. In March of 2007 she decided to start some wacky fun with the huge fan production: Buffy Between the Lines. She produces along with Kim (from Upside Down & Halfway to Happyland), she writes and she plays Anya. Her claim to fandom fame is being one of the few people who ships everyone in the fandom.
In her normal life (whenever she has time for that) she enjoys traveling, photography, and being heavily involved in her local church. Her real life job is working in social media and public relations. She has two cats: Myboyfriend and Tigger. Her all time favorite shows (non-Joss) are Due South, Pretender, Veronica Mars, Mi:5, and Animaniacs. She also enjoys watching Chuck, Life, all the CSIs, Bones, House M.D., Num3ers, Law & Order CI, Lie to Me, Heroes, and more that she can’t think of right now.

Former Crew Members:
~ David
Voice Talent & Writer for “I Can’t Believe it’s NOT Joss!”
David was dragged kicking and screaming to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but quickly renounced his skepticism and became a fan. It was Firefly, however, which truly convinced him of Joss’s excellence.
A writer and an artist, David cites Joss has a huge inspiration. Most of his spare time goes into his Sci-Fi webcomic, Crimson Dark (http://www.crimsondark.com) and a currently unfinished novel. David lives in Western Sydney, Australia, and wants to be an evil overlord when he grows up.
~ Rachel Ruzzo
Voice Talent & that Trivia Person
Rachel technically lives in New York but is more often occupying Massachusetts or Maine. She was dragged, reluctantly, into the Whedonverse via Buffy the Vampire Slayer (which remains her favorite show of all time), followed by Firefly then Angel. And when she’s procrastinating on her internet life she’s working towards her psychology degree at Smith College.
Other than Joss’d, she hosts her own podcast, Attention Deficit Fandom Disorder. She is also part of the cast and crew for Buffy Between the Lines.
Other television loves are Reaper, Pushing Daisies, Tru Calling, Desperate Housewives, Bones, Wonderfalls, and Mythbusters. Her favorite authors are Christopher Moore, Sarah Waters, and William Shakespeare.
~ Jeremiah
Voice Talent & Writer for “Playing in Joss’ World”
Jeremiah lives in Oak Ridge Tennessee, a small town which researches nuclear weapons(serious, look it up!) nestled in the mountains. He has been a fan of Whedon’s writing since the second season of Buffy. A fan of all the Whedon shows he also is a comic geek and enjoys reading Joss’s comic writing offerings as well.
When not watching Firefly on DVD, Jeremiah also does voice acting for Pendant productions (found at http://pendantaudio.com) and has his own podcast on gaming called The Basics Of The Game (found at http://thebasicsofthegame.blogspot.com). He is also currently on writing a novel which he hopes to have finished by 2008.
